Start your Monday morning off with a 9am ride! (aka: The Donut Ride) This is a great hybrid of many popular VBC rides! What do you get when you combine parts of the reverse Friday ride, Earthquake and Frenchman’s Bar…with some twists? Northwest 1.0. As you head out of Safeway - you’ll gonorth for a while - before turning west. There’s a few moderate hills to make it a great ride. In the middle of the ride, we will re-group at Chucks's Grocery Store in Salmon Creek. Towards the end of the ride, there's an optional but highly encouraged stop: Donut Nook!
Route: Northwest Route 1.0 Map & Cue Sheet **Note from the ride leader, Sally: "Greetings! After a 3+ months of an unrequested sabbatical from cycling, I once again have the privilege of leading this ride. While normally posted at a max = 18, I am posting it as max = 16 (barely!). Faster pace riders are more than welcome. The ride leader will barely be able to keep up. I thank you in advance for your patience!"
Notes:
Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read the Safe Riding Policyand be familiar with the Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader or Road Captain. Helmets are required.
