The phishing problem isn’t as easy to solve as you might think.
This article is a bit technological, but it points out a growing problem where hackers fake the email address of someone you trust, then ask you to click on some link or
send information. So if something looks odd, don’t click on it, even if it is from someone you know.

Not certain how this gets around the fact that the buddies list requires you to be a member and checks your email address. I guess when they spoof your email it looks like
it really came from your email address (there is no trace in the header of the spoof).
