To The Caddyshack Ride 11:25AM (VAN-PDX)
PACE: 14-16
DISTANCE: 36 miles, minor hills
RIDE TYPE: Group
We ride to meet Maria’s Caddyshack ride, 27 miles, social pace, buy lunch about halfway (no locks needed), and, of course-- golf courses. Four of them. Maria is a past VBC President and well-known for her many creative rides including the classic French Toast Ride.
You can see Maria’s route here:
Maria's Caddyshack Route
There is a 1-mile section of the Columbia Slough Trail that is bumpy. We ride slowly and it's fine with your road bike.
We’ll ride to meet Maria's ride:
Depart: 11:25am
From: south end Fred Meyer parking lot, 11325 SE Mill Plain at Chkalov. Park out of the way between the garden center and the fuel center.
Our route to her: 9 miles round trip over the I-205 bridge.

Maria encourages lovely (gaudy) golf socks and argyle. Of course we might wear them under rain gear…
