The Unofficial GF. What is that?? It’s not Gluten Free, in this case. It stands for Gran Fondo! The VBC has been doing the “Gran Fondo” for a few years where we’ve intentionally had a lot of pace groups available in one ride. This is not an official Gran Fondo - but if you’d like to ride in one of the pace groups/distances listed below - please come and join us! And…just for kicks, from the experts at Wikipedia: A Gran Fondo is a type of long-distance road cycling ride originating in Italy in 1970, and roughly translates into English as "Big Ride". Details: Option #1 Pace: 18; Miles = 32; Elevation = 815 Route: 32 Route Led by Sally Butts Option #2 Pace 18; Miles = 43; Elevation = 1231 Route: 43 Route Led by Steve Baltazar Option #3 Pace: 20; Miles = 43; Elevation = 1231 Route: 43 Route Led by: Jerimi Boston
