The Willapa Hills Trail Fans Monthly Ride Series continues with a hybrid trail and road ride!
The closure of the trail at Meskill gives us a perfect opportunity to explore a scenic bikeway through Boistfort, bypassing the landslide and bringing us into Pe Ell.
This ride follows the trail from Adna to Ceres Hill Road, then utilizes country roads to Boistfort and into Pe Ell. We will reverse course on the way home.
Informally called the West Lewis County Bikeway, this route is popular with area cyclists. It passes through farmland, fields and forests, and offers great views of the Willapa Hills and Boistfort Peak.
We will depart from Adna Trailhead at 9 a.m. February 5th.
There will be two hill climbs on this ride, and elevation gain for the ride is about 1,300 feet total. It will be an out-and-back.
Plan for a lunch stop in Pe Ell.
Please park in the gravel lot on the right-hand side of Dieckman Road, or in the Back Memorial Park parking lot just short of the trail. Leave the paved lot for people coming and going, such as runners, walkers, equestrians, etc.
Directions to the gravel lot: https://goo.gl/maps/Jp2VNVGroFw1CBkU8
* Please Note* A Discover Pass is required to park in the gravel lot across from the trailhead, but is NOT required to park in Back Memorial Park which is located at: 124 Dieckman Rd, Chehalis, WA 98532
