RESPECT THE ROLL
Be geared up and bike-ready 10 minutes early. We start the briefing then, so we can roll on time. Don't keep the group waiting!

Ride Description

The Vancouver Bicycle Club will offer an optional ride out to Frenchman's Bar following the conclusion of the sentencing hearing in the case of the driver who struck cyclist Ken O'Day in 2024.

This "Ride for Justice" is intended to not only honor Mr. O'Day and his family in their over two year effort to ensure that justice is done, but to remember all of our cycling friends who have been the victims of vehicular collisions.

The ride will begin at the front of the courthouse as soon as possible following the conclusion of the hearing. We can't guarantee when that will occur, so our departure time may not be exactly as posted. We will ride as a group on well-maintained streets with good shoulders and bikeways out to Frenchman's Bar, then return along most of the same roads and paths to the courthouse.

Everyone is welcome.

Note that helmets are required!
